Luiza é uma estudante adolescente que extravasa seus sentimentos escrevendo poemas compulsivamente. As linhas que ela escreve se transformam em realidade, quando um acontecimento inesperado se estabelece como algo que ela considera o seu “poema mais bonito”, instaurando uma série de questionamentos sobre a vida, sonhos, desejos, amor próprio, quem importa e quem se importa.

Luiza is a teenage student who pours out her feelings by compulsively writing poems. The lines she writes become reality, when an unexpected event establishes itself as something she considers her “most beautiful poem”, setting up a series of questions about life, dreams, desires, self-love, who matters and who cares. it matters.

 

A HISTÓRIA | THE STORY:

A trama original, do musical de Jay Vaquer, se passa em uma sala de aula e fala dos anseios, inseguranças, traumas, expectativas, descobertas e segredos de doze jovens alunos e de seu professor de sociologia. Conforme o universo de cada um vai sendo gradativamente revelado, as relações ganham contornos que percorrem trajetórias para muito além da pressuposta superfície da história e a medida que cada personagem encontra sua própria voz, seus dramas familiares e existenciais se materializam dentro da trama, até que um evento fantástico e, de certa forma metafórico, toma conta de seus destinos e os faz questionar o que, de fato, poderia estar acontecendo em suas vidas naquele momento, desvendando um final surpreendente e, infelizmente,  sempre muito atual.

Conforme a história vai apresentando seus personagens, vamos percebendo as relações de cada um com a vida, suas questões mais pessoais, seus anseios, seus traumas, planos, cobranças e ambições, seus medos mais profundos, provendo uma riqueza a trama que toca em cada aspecto da existência desses jovens estudantes.

 

O elenco foi escolhido a dedo por Jay Vaquer  que conseguiu reunir nomes da nata da nova - e muito bem preparada - geração de atores/performers com habilidade para atuar, cantar e dançar.  Jay vem preparando o elenco ininterruptamente desde 2019, atravessando a pandemia com inúmeros ensaios num aprofundamento de estudos do roteiro e atingindo uma maturidade performática muito além do esperado em um elenco tão jovem e, em sua maioria, ainda "virgem" nas telas do País.

A intensidade dramatúrgica de POEMA! ganha uma nova dimensão quando nomes já consagrados do teatro , cinema e TV abraçam esse incrível projeto. Atores e atrizes do calibre de: Paulinho Serra, Claudio Lins, Vanessa Gerbelli, Fábio Villa Verde, Ana Clara Winter, Saulo Segretto, Alex Nader e André Rayol emprestam seu inequívoco talento à trama de POEMA! adicionando intensidade dramatúrgica e credibilidade a este inusitado musical, gênero tão raro na cena autoral brasileira e que é desenvolvido com maestria por Jay Vaquer.
 
Lucas: “Sinto toda a dor do mundo, mas sei fazer graça bem”
Luiza: “Ninguém me ouve gritando socorro. Tão ocupados pedindo socorro também.”
Valentina. “Sim pai, eu fui o que você pediu pra Deus”
Manu: “Sou feito um quebra-cabeças faltando peças e ninguém quer montar.”
Duda: “O que sobra de mim depois de não ter que provar que o “meu melhor” é de fato o melhor pra mim?”
Bernardo: “Pro meu pai, quase todo mundo é comunista e maconheiro” 
Gabi:” Sempre fiquei no meu canto e o que eu calava no entanto, precisava gritar.” 
Ana: “Deus? O que ele quer provar com isso? Que fizemos tudo errado?”
Sara: “Ele me pede silêncio.“
Lourdes: “Se entenderem, que me expliquem. Faz um tempo que eu já desisti.”

The original plot, from Jay Vaquer's musical, takes place in a classroom and talks about the anxieties, insecurities, traumas, expectations, discoveries and secrets of twelve young students and their sociology teacher. As the universe of each one is gradually revealed, the relationships gain contours that travel paths far beyond the supposed surface of the story and as each character finds his own voice, his family and existential dramas materialize within the plot, until a fantastic and, in a way metaphorical, event, takes over their destinies and makes them question what, in fact, could be happening in their lives at that moment, revealing a surprising and, unfortunately, always very current ending.

As the story introduces its characters, we perceive each one's relationship with life, their most personal issues, their yearnings, their traumas, plans, demands and ambitions, their deepest fears, providing a richness to the plot that touches each aspect of the existence of these young students.

 

The cast was handpicked by Jay Vaquer  who managed to gather names of the cream of the new - and very well prepared - generation of actors/performers with the ability to act, sing and dance. Jay has been preparing the cast uninterruptedly since 2019, going through the pandemic with countless rehearsals in a deepening of script studies and reaching a performance maturity far beyond what was expected in such a young cast and, for the most part, still "virgin" on screens in the country.

The dramaturgical intensity of POEM! takes on a new dimension when already established names in theater, cinema and TV embrace this incredible project. Actors and actresses such as: Paulinho Serra, Claudio Lins, Vanessa Gerbelli, Fábio Villa Verde, Ana Clara Winter, Saulo Segretto, Alex Nader and André Rayol lend their unmistakable talent to the plot of POEM! adding dramaturgical intensity and credibility to this unusual musical, a genre so rare in the Brazilian authorial scene and which is masterfully developed by Jay Vaquer.

 

Lucas: “I feel all the pain in the world, but I know how to make fun of it”

Luiza: “No one hears me screaming for help as they are so busy calling for help too.”

Valentina. "Yes father, I was what you asked God for"

Manu: “I'm like a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces and nobody wants to put it together.”

Duda: “What is left of me after not having to prove that “my best” is in fact the best for me?”

Bernardo: “For my father, almost everyone is a communist and a pothead”

Gabi:” I always stayed in my corner and what I kept silent, however, needed to scream.”

Ana: “God? What does he want to prove with this? That we did it all wrong?”
Sara: “He asks me for silence."
Lourdes: “If you understand, let me know. It's been a while since I gave up.”
